Project Overview:
As part of Kenya’s nationwide rural electrification initiative, KPLC launched a project to expand medium-voltage distribution networks to underserved communities. QZ-Switchgear was selected as a key supplier for this project due to our strong track record in supplying robust and reliable transformer solutions for challenging environments.
Our Solution:
We supplied 50 units of 33kV oil-immersed transformers designed for stable performance in tropical climates. Each unit was equipped with a corrugated tank for natural cooling (ONAN), on-load tap changer, and upgraded HV bushings suitable for outdoor pole-mounted installation. All products were manufactured according to IEC 60076 standards and passed FAT witnessed by KPLC representatives.
