South Africa’s industrial sector, particularly in mining and manufacturing, has seen a surge in demand for reliable and efficient electrical equipment to support continuous operations. Given the extreme weather conditions and the high energy demand, mining companies and industrial plants require transformers that are not only energy-efficient but also resilient enough to operate in harsh environments. For a mining project located in a remote area of South Africa, the choice was made to install a 315 KVA 3.3KV to 400V VPI Open Winding Dry-Type Transformer to meet the power needs of critical equipment while ensuring safety and longevity.
Performance Results

Product Introduction
We delivered two units of 315 KVA vacuum pressure impregnated (VPI) dry type transformer to South Africa in 2018. The rated power of the transformer is 315 KVA. the primary voltage of the transformer is 3.3 KV and secondary voltage is 0.4 KV, the transformer coils are vacuum pressure impregnated in high temperature polyester vanish under vacuum and pressure, the coils can be made of copper or aluminum, the insulation is made of high grade nonflammable materials, the insulations class can be F(155℃), H(180℃)or C(220℃) class, suitable for different requirements, the finished coils are effectively protected against moisture, dirt, and most industrial contaminants, VPI transformers are suitable for use indoors or outdoors, any place require particular attention to the environments, such as costal and mining area, it can equipped with cooling fans and temperature controller to allow it have overload capacity.
