Project Overview:
As part of the UAE’s energy diversification strategy, a 50 MW solar photovoltaic power plant was developed in Sharjah to strengthen the renewable grid. QZ-Switchgear was selected to provide compact and weather-resistant medium voltage switchgear solutions for this harsh desert environment.
Our Solution:
We provided 15 sets of 24kV gas-insulated ring main units with vacuum circuit breakers and integrated remote control functionality. Each RMU unit was designed to withstand extreme temperatures, sandstorms, and UV exposure. The units also featured pressure relief devices and were tested for partial discharge and SF6 leakage.
